Lincoln City Oregon Food

If you happen to be out at the Oregon Coast, whether passing through or staying at a rental, I have a few highlights from my own trip and the Lincoln City Oregon food I really enjoyed. My visit was short, but these 3 stops really stood out and I would 10/10 visit and order again. If you are traveling, stay safe, comply with whatever Covid-19 protocols the city or businesses have in place, and visit as many local businesses as you can along the way. They can use your support.

Dory Cove Restaurant

Dory Cove Restaurant is a local institution. The current location that you can find this homey restaurant has been there since 2017, but it is the new location that carries on the more then 40 year tradition and recipes of the original location that used to be on the other side of town but which was a victim of an unfortunate fire. Dory Cove is open 7 days a week and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner so is perfect for any day, any time eating. You may find yourself juggling the open days and times of other eateries, so knowing Dory Cove is a pretty safe bet is good to know. They have seafood omelets and egg benedict plates (woo hoo that crab benedict…) at breakfast, as well as a thick yet creamy and chunky clam chowder. Their specialty entrees are well-sized: just look at this Parmesan crusted 8 ounce halibut with parmesan cream sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, sautéed vegetables, and parmesan garlic bread. Grabbing this takeout to eat at your rental with a nice bottle of wine while overlooking the ocean is so luxe.

Squatchsami Food Truck and Beachcrest Brewing

On the Fridays at the Salishan Resort, there is an Artisan Market, though you can also come visit on the weekends and consider combining a trip to eat fresh fish and chips by Squatchsami with beer from Beachcrest Brewery located as part of the Shops at Salishan. They would be a perfect pairing, particularly since Squatchsami is already using Beachcrest beer in their beer batter for the fish. If you are feeling brunchy they also offer fried chicken and waffles and their clam chowder by the cup or quart. But don’t miss out on that perfectly golden Pacific Ling cod, locally sourced here

Eleanor’s Undertow

I believe a visit to Lincoln City is not complete without a stop to Eleanor’s Undertow has been family owned and serving up food you can enjoy right on the beach if you’d like for 40 years. Their location right by free public parking to beach access (Siletz Bay) makes it easy to stop by. If it’s hot get milkshakes or ice cream cones with Umpqua Valley ice cream. If it’s chilly get their homemade clam chowder (ignore the Mo’s across the street, you want it from here). They are only open 5 days a week, and only from lunch to 5pm so if the timing is right, stop by.

I had a short visit, on weekdays so I may have missed some Lincoln City Oregon Food gems because of my limited time or business operating hours. Others that are on my wishlist for next time include

  • Coffee drinks, breakfast acai bowl are the main draw for me here but you can also grab bagel sandwiches, breakfast burritos, sandwiches and other grab and go to take on a hike at Salt Crave
  • Breakfast and Lunch tho breakfast called to me more strongly at Wild Flower Grill
  • Drive thru espresso drinks and egg sandwiches and burritos from Pacific Grind Cafe
  • Opening in a satellite location as they also are rebuilding from a devastating fire ij 2019, don’t miss the homemade German potatoes hash browns or the bread from Otis Cafe
  • Crepes at Zest Creperie
  • Oysters from Shuckers Oyster Bar
  • Kyllo’s Seafood and Grill for a fancy dinner
  • Barnacle Bills Seafood Market (cash only), get the moist salmon
  • La Roca for simple good Mexican

Did I miss anything that you would recommend? Where are you eating when you looking for Lincoln City food? I’ll be visiting again in June and looking forward to new Oregon Coast memories.
